FAQ
Parsons Auto Body
Do you work with my insurance company?
Yes, we work with all insurance companies. In the State of Nevada, you can choose whichever body shop you prefer to fix your vehicle regardless of the insurance company paying for the repairs
Why is my insurance company requiring me to send photos to them?
Some insurance companies will require you to send them initial photos to start the claims process. Start that process with them and they will send you a preliminary estimate. Bring a copy of that estimate with you for your first appointment at Parsons Auto Body.
Someone else hit my car, do you work with their insurance company?
Yes, we work with any insurance company once they’ve accepted liability. We will need a copy of the preliminary estimate if they have generated one.
When do I schedule my vehicle for drop off and repair?
If your vehicle is drivable, we want to keep you in it until we have the initial estimate and authorization for repairs from the insurance company and timeline for parts delivery. Once we have this information, then we can schedule the repairs.
Who do I pay my deductible to?
Does the insurance company pay you directly?
In most instances, once you advise the insurance company that you are working with Parsons Auto Body, they will send payments directly to the shop.
What happens if the insurance company sends me a check?
If your insurance company sends you a check for the repairs, you can either bring the check in to Parsons Auto Body and sign it over to us or you can deposit it into your account. We will collect that amount from you at the time you pick up your vehicle.
What forms of payment do you take?
Parsons Auto Body accepts cash, check, debit and credit card payments.
Is there any additional charge for credit card usage?
Yes, there is a 3% surcharge for credit cards.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, we work with a finance company and can provide information on how to apply.
How many days will my vehicle be at your shop?
We will do our best to get your vehicle back to you as quickly as possible. The number of days for the repair will depend on the extent of damage, parts availability and if there is any additional damage found during the disassembly process.
What happens if the parts you need are backordered?
We work closely with our vendors to bring parts in as quickly as possible. If a part is backordered, we will notify you as soon as we know there is a delay.
What is your warranty and how long is it for?
We offer a lifetime warranty on paint, labor and materials. We also offer a one-year warranty on all OEM parts with valid reasoning.
What happens if my vehicle is not drivable and needs to be towed in?
Call the shop’s telephone number and we can help coordinate with a local tow company to pick up your vehicle and deliver it to Parsons Auto Body.
Do you charge a storage fee and if so, how much?
If your vehicle is deemed a total loss by the insurance company, we will charge $100.00 per day from the day we receive your vehicle until the day it is picked up.
My vehicle is not listed on the list of vehicles you service?
Call the shop’s telephone number and ask for an estimator to discuss your options for repairing your vehicle. If we are unable to repair your vehicle, we will do our best to refer you to a shop that can.
What happens if I only want OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts on my vehicle?
If your insurance policy is written for use of aftermarket or salvaged parts in the repair process and you do not have an OEM rider on your policy, then you have the option to pay the difference between the type of parts that insurance will pay for and the cost of the OEM parts. The use of OEM parts is a preference for quality and reliability while the use of aftermarket or salvaged parts may be more cost effective or required by the insurance company.
Can I get any leftover paint from the repair?
Our paint mixing system is very precise in the mixing of the quantity of paint that is necessary to complete your vehicle repairs. On occasion, there may be a small amount left that we could provide in a touch up bottle. If you would like to request touch up paint, we’re happy to mix extra paint at an additional cost.
